New EMG HZ SRO Series

Santa Rosa, CA – January 5th, 2010 - EMG announces the new HZ SRO Series product line.  With specific neck and bridge humbuckers and neck, middle, and bridge single coil pickups, the SRO Series was designed to have a traditional look, provide high powered output with plenty of mid-range and crisp top end that fits all types of playing styles.  The HZ SRO Series (Standing Room Only) is a departure from EMG’s active pickup legend, instead focusing on a cost effective design that is an ideal answer for players wanting to upgrade their passive pickup tone. EMG President and Founder Rob Turner commented, “The SRO idea was to provide a simple solution for players to have an upgrade from stock passive pickup tone to packed house concert venue ready tone.  We had EMG artists that wanted to add passive pickups to their arsenal, so they road tested the SRO’s over the last year and a half and gave us feedback.  Their positive response solidified our decision to develop and release the series.” The SRO series is the second new HZ product released since the Alexi Laiho signature model came out last year.
